Just wondered what the phone is like as thinking about getting one, any pros/cons.
The qwerty might put me off though.
many thanks

Both myself and Mrs Meandog had one each. Excellent phones in general. The keys themselves are a little small, so if you've got phat fingers, you need to be a bit more precise.

Whilst browsing web pages, the home/navigation centre key - can take a little extra time to get it to the point on the screen where you need to click/select icons or buttons.

Gets emails fine from both Hotmail and Gmail accounts. However, doesn't always seem to delete the email headers from your phone if you have a hotmail account, when you've read them.

Bit difficult to explain, but it seems to bundle your media files altogether in one place, rather than seperating files out into different folders and showing what's on the phone memory and whats stored on a memory card - could be annoying at times in that I found myself having to browse through a load a files, rather than specific folders.

On the whole, I'd say 8/10. A nice step up from 'standard' candybar shape Nokias. However, it didn't take me long before I went from E71 to iPhones, which is a whole different thing altogether.

Many thanks, may not be my cup of tea though.

I've had one for about 18 months and I still like it which for me is something. It does take a bit of getting used to but it can do alot inc being a sat nav with Free Nokia software available for download direct to your phone. I like the Qwerty keyboard layout as texting is faster imo. I've even used the E71 mobile broadband with inclusive allowance. I'd probably give it 8 or 9/10

I love it. It can do everything and is very easy to use. Best phone I have had. Can't compare to iphone as I haven't had one of those but I hate touch screen phones so am unlikely to have one. Started my contract with a Blackberry Storm. Only had it a week and sent it back. Then got E71 and have never looked back.

I've got an E63, which is a slightly more basic model of the E71 (no gps and plastic case). Great phone for the price, if you like the qwerty keypad (took a while to get used to but I love it now).

The E72 is out now, you should look at that

OMG...i did that too...upgraded to the storm, hated it, read the reviews on cnet and went for the E71 as it was rated very highly. Love it. I am not that techy so don't use all the functions but the picture quality is good with the camera. Know about 3 other people with it and they love it too.

Review on the new E72
