Hi there everyone.

I am expecting my car in a few days and wanted to have my rear windows and rear screen tinted at 85%.
I live in west Hertfordshire but am willing to travel to Luton, and west london for a descent service at a reasonable price.
Any recommendations would be helpful.

What about these http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/shop/index.php/cPath/2729 look like tints from a distance, and as they're easily removed it's not a modification you legally need to tell your insurers about. Plus they're cheaper than tints.

Sounds and looks brilliant. Cannot find one for my car. But would be interested if someone can give a personal opinion on how it looks.
Btw do you have this installed.
Another question. I see you mentioning insurers about getting windows tinted is that necessary?

Your best bet is to tell your insurance company about them as all companies have different polices regarding modifications. For example my insurance company charge a 10% premium for any modifications done including cosmetic items such as window tints where as my parents insurance dont even class the tints on their s type to be a modification and there is no charge.
Better to be safe than sorry because in the extremely unlikely event that your insurance carrys an extra premium etc they could choose not to pay out if you had a crash.
