just package it extremely well in bubble wrap and 2 boxes, make sure it can withhold any damage that could be done e.g. dropped

i have sent xbox's with dhl and never had a problem...... problems only occur when your packing is trash

I second the www.senditnow.com suggestion.

Cheaper than royal mail (£10.99 for 2 day delivery) with parcel tracking.

when its a cheap courier its usually £50 insurance too...and they are booked through an agent and they wont claim for you (been there)
senditnow has been around for years £100 compensation and add extra if you need?

senditnow.com shall not otherwise be liable to the Customer or any other person for any loss of, or damage to, or any delay of any Consignment(s), or for any loss or damage arising from delay in the collection, conveyance or delivery of any Consignment(s) howsoever such loss or damage was caused and whether by the negligence of senditnow.com or its officers, employees, contractors, agents or otherwise.

One to avoid methinks!

dpd as offically used by sony themselves

actually the royal mail special next day delivery (£500 compensation) seems to be coming out best

Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed by 1:00pm next day Up to £500 Tracked £20.70

just took a look at their website. Pretty awful with no obvious way to check price / book a delivery. Seems more business orientated.

What did I say?

I wouldn't have thought what you quoted from senditnow makes any difference, you claim from parcelforce.

yes but senditnow is more expensive (£22.99) for £500 parcel and that condition clearly states they will NOT pay out for any damage or loss of the parcel. No idea why they have compensation even mentioned tbh. I prefer the royal mail to parcelforce too.

thanks but I want compensation if they lose or damage the parcel. this clearly gets them out of having to pay anything! :w00t:

but DHL T&C's clearly state that computers are not covered regardless of damage / loss / compensation cover.
