Just been given a sky plus box. Only problem is that I dont have two inputs for it meaning I cannot record a program and watch a different one at the same time. Is there any way around this?

You need at least a dual LNB (sits on the dish outside) and a second cable coming through to the box (which comes from the LNB).

I don't have Sky+ but this should do the trick

Get one of these;

and two short lengths of coaxial run your current cable into the single socket and the two new cables into the two sockets on hte back of the Sky+ box

Ebay, quad LNB (Approx £10-£15(duals difficult to get a hold of now) some Sat. cable, wire up, call sky say... "have got a new box turn me sky plus on please", they will register the box...job done

That wont help the OP. (Though it may give channels on one of either the left or right circular feeds. It wont give both - so only one set of channels not all)

He needs to have a dual feed from a duel or Quad LNB and feed that direct to the sky plus receiver. That's the only way you can record 2 different channels and make use of its facilities.

I use a similar one to these devices myself (Diseq switch) - but thats to feed a seperate satellite reciever with 2 different dishes (ie a sky only one and a multi-sat dish, which cant pick up sky astra because of a tree in a neighbours garden.)
