I've been renting my current property for almost 2years. During this time< I have requested a number of repairs including a broken back gate/fence - which is also jammed so in the even of a fire I am unable to exit through the back. I have not been given a key for the rear security gate, so even if I could get out the back gate, I couldn't exit the back alleyway. Theres so many things wrong with the house, need a new front door, windows are rotten etc. I have requested most of these repairs over a year ago, in which nothing has been done yet they are still due to be actioned on their system.
I have a surveyor from the housing come 8wks ago, to assess if the house is fit enough to be classified as a 'Decent Home' it failed in many areas - he advised that there is a housing standards service that deals with complaints about repairs & standards of accommodation - it was something on the lines on HSEE or HSSA (he gave me the short name for it). I did find them on the internet & saved it as a favourite, but my laptop packed up so I have purchased a new one; however for the life of me I can't remember the name of the site/company.
Does anyone have any idea?
