Any Tesco Store Stock Laptops??

Morning All,

Want to get a new laptop for Christmas and wondered if anyone knew if any of the Tesco stores near me (LE11) had a decent range of laptop to view and in stock to take away?

I guess a store around Leicester of Nottingham would be the best bet?

Thanks, markluk

www.laptopshop.co.uk is your best bet for a good deal on a laptop.

Look at their "refubished" selection, most of them are new and come with full warranty

I want to get touchy and feely with the current laptops that are out there - well my partner is a bit fussy!

Tesco seem to have a good Acer unit online at the mo - that why I would like to pop to a local Tesco to take a look.

I know it is down to each individuals preference however I would personally strongly recommend staying away from Acer

They are cheap as they build from second quality components.

I work in IT for a large company and we bought lots of Acer's I would say within the first 2 years 80% of them have gone faulty or died on us.

Also dont count on help from their tech support, on the 8 or 9 times I have called they have refused to help for one reason or another. The worst example being a laptop that had come with Vista on that we had installed XP on instead (the laptop has stickers on saying "Designed for Windows XP") but we couldnt find a correct sound driver for it. Rang acer support and they refused to help as the laptop wasnt shipped with XP regardless of what any stickers on it said.

Had an ACER for 2 years. No probs. Just bought the £349 one from Tesco. High spec, good quality, low price. Spot on!
