its best to take layers, the wicking type clothing seems to work the best, and a light weight wind/water proof jacket

oh gods yes!!!!
when my mum and dad went it was mainly smart casual so trousers and tops mainly.

Think you could get really dressed up but as long as you didn't look like a scruff yer ok

you cant wear your swimming gear indoors, so you need over swiiming gear clothes untill you get back to you cabin
i always wore a dress at night i was 10 and my dad a suit and my mum either a dress, (not a ball gown ) or a nice trousers and top,
take a cardigen for night as it gets cold

Take normal holiday clothes. You can dress as you normally would when you go on holiday.

If you decide you want to get involved with the 'Captain's Dinners' then they usually ask for smart dress. This does not need to be a tuxedo and and cocktail dress, just a nice suit and an evening dress would get you in. But 99% of the people there will be in a tuxedo and a cocktail or evening dress.

You are not required to go to the captains dinners, but its a great evening.

Having just watched Titanic, I would be inclined to wear a rubber dinghy.
