Any Xbox Live Members with Sky Broadband?

Just would like to know how the routers Sky provide handle Xbox Live connections...

Thinking of porting to them, but want to make sure the Xbox Live NAT is Open, in order to be able to connect to everyone.

If you have this service, could you advise if the NAT is open?

Cheers

i'm no expert on NAt (whatever it is?) - but I have Sky Broadband (full LLU service not Connect) and a new 360 which i've tried once on Live - all works fine for me.

I didn't even know the xbox 360 had a NAT!

Never had a problem here (albeit with ADSL 2 mb).

I had to open my NAT on the router & manually sign an IP to it so it was "open" and not strict.

ps - Sky broadband is $hit, I know 3 friends who have it, and it always drops out !!

My mate is on live with sky BB, no problems whatsoever

I've heard/read quite a few SkyBB customers are having problems, but the people I know who have it, have no problems whatsover...

I'm competent in setting things up/resolving network problems so am confident that if there is a problem with it, I can diagnose where the fault lies and if it persists, pull out using the 'not fulfilling contract agreed' excuse.

The NAT I am querying is with the router Sky provide, not actually with the service itself.

Any chance you could whip it on and test it for us sometime?

All you have to do is go to the Dashboard, into the settings, Network Settings and run a test...

It will tell you if the NAT is Open, Moderate or Strict.

I'm on sky, have a wired connection to my 360 and have no problems with the service, no drop outs at all.
I've made no adjustments to the router, and the Network Settings Test is showing that the NAT is open
