I use RunKeeper on my android. Works amazing and also allows me to listen to music etc whilst running.

You can get audio cues telling you at set time/distance intervals how well your doing but I disable these as it reminds me how far I have left to run lol

^^^^ This, ive found it very accurate.

When you start getting into 'Proper' Sports GPS you are starting to look at some very expensive kit which is the only problem with it :/

I might try runkeeper then, but lugging my desire around doesn't sound like much fun.

I don't run with any pockets, may just carry it in my hand.

Any links to an armband?

I actually use my desire only for training, it doesn't even have a sim card in it lol.

I used to run with it in my hands but then I bought a decent running jacket with pockets which allows me to put my head phones through the pocket, so the desire sits in my pocket and my headphones run inside my jacket out of the neck, making it waterproof.

I bought a belt with a waterbottle in, that also has a section where you stick your phone/ipod and has a hole for the earphones.

It depends on how far you run? I'm doing 10-12 miles without any issues with it in my pocket.

i bought an armband for my desire last week for £3.25 (now £3.99), not used it yet but i have tried putting my desire in. it is a tight fit and if you have a case for your phone you need to take it off before putting it in. i am quite tempted to buy the armband for the desire hd to see if that is better so i dont have to remove the case everytime (not that it is difficult to remove it, just lazy).

item number for ebay item i bought 230599875168
