Their chips are crap though.

Yeah I know, it's like they've been dipped in water and then cold oil, to make the perfect floppy unappetising 'treat' xD

I had a chicken check before for £20 after emailing KFC head office about their sloppy cold servings and filthy restaurant, we spent it and haven't been back since nor will we be going back.

One thing the check did get us was first class service with freshly cooked food. Shame they can't do that all the time. Felt quite stuffed afterwards as there was only the 3 of us (wife, daughter and I) obviously I had to have the lion's share of the food as I did all the moaning to get it. X)

You claim that they offered you this because of your writing skills. I can tell you now, they didn't.

I think he might have, I complained to play.com about items I ordered been out of stock, they made a BS excuse, i emailed again, got a £10 voucher, I bought something with it, it was out of stock, I complained got a £20 voucher, ended up with £30 for nothing, although used it and don't use play.com anymore as they are incompetent. A well written letter cna go a long way.

There is a massive difference between a letter being grammatically incorrect and well written. Well written letters should be, at the very least, grammatically correct. Then they need to be persuasive and authoritative.

I mean no disrespect to the OP in saying this but there is not much evidence here to support their claim that they got the voucher for a well written letter.

I agree a well planned and written letter with a valid argument or complaint can bring rewards including honouring of mis-prices. All too often though we are quick to complain but rarely write a letter of praise. I often write in to the head office / Directors of a company to complement their staff on receiving good service or product and again have received vouchers or other treats for the effort.

Jesus, why does it matter if I'm grammatically incorrect here? and don't use the correct punctuation and vocabulary, why the hell do people scrutinise me for it?

You got a voucher for their poor chips. Not your well written letter.

I wrote also upon the bad approach by staff, and the lack of expertise; having dropped my order on the floor, then scooping it back up and giving it back to me, with a quick, "sorry".

You complained about the food and they gave you some of that food for free? I don't think i would be eating it.

Only been in three times with parents when staying in a Travelodge in last 6 months, have to say never had any issues, food is always cooked fresh so a 5-10 minute wait, the staff bring out the tray of food to us and check if we are satisfied.

haha ;D
mumbojumbo
I wrote a letter of complaint once about a packet of Walker's Lamb and Mint crisps. They no longer make them. I like to think that's because of the power of my letter. :)

KFC.. yuk, eat the food containers, they probably have more nutritional value and taste better than the junk that they serve.

Their chips are ok though the helpings are poultry, but their chicken is fowl.

(Actually, I have my doubts it is fowl - more ratty to me!)
