The Samsung model that you have been looking at gets 5 stars from What Hi Fi Sound and Vision( buy a copy good source of info), saying its a very good Tv for the money and in the latest edition its over £1300 but if you look around you might even find it cheaper, I tend to google the model number, just found it at pixmania for £833 plus about 17 quid for delivery, so the bargins are out there, at worst you could got to Currys and use the free delivery voucher on this site..

Me personally( thats MYview so no arguments!!) I would got for plasma, and I am looking at the Pioneer 428xd 42" Black, I have had a 424hde for about 4 yrs and its the dogs conkers but the new panel has free view and HD.. but its horses for courses ..happy telly hunting :-D

I always find Samsung's frightening artificial and overblown when it comes to picture, and although they're (arguably) aesthetically pleasing they're dust magnets.

Truth be told they're probably both great sets offering 1080p goodness, a lot comes down to personal taste.
