I've just went to rapidshare and it only shows a white page using http:// but if you use https:// the site loads fine. Megaupload is also down for me.

I've been trying to find out whats going on with it and all I can find is that other people are having problems and they all seem to only be using Virgin Media!!! As am I, anybody else who uses it and is or isn't on Virgin is it working for you ok?

Please do not talk about what you may or may not download from these two sites and please do not post any links to either website.

megaupload is fine, rapidshare only working through secured

I've used Rapidshare for years, sometimes they have DNS problems, add everything from this into your hosts file:

Such a stupid reason, I use rapidshare to move big mapping files between Uni and home.

I know! might look into something someone once talked about, googlemail as a file store?
needs more research... check the t&c etc.

I could use it last night without the https not sure about now though.
