Easiest way is to make yourself a pandora battery, and create a magic memory stick, there is plenty of info for this, here

It does show you how to make one, and the magic memory stick is just a normal memory stick formatted differently...

Or you could just purchase an official psp slim or phat battery from ebay and makes one, the battery will still function as a battery even after you convert it to a pandora.

It really isnt that difficult, its just a case of cutting a pin on a chip

I think this is the safest way to flash your psp, there could be a save game exploit you can use instead, but if you dont have the game, you may have to spend cash anyway, so may as well go pandora route.

No you don't!

Follow this guide -

No Pandora or MMS needed.

I wouldn't advise this. It's not necessary.

How wrong you are.

The other way can also be used to do late model slim and lites and all 3000's which the Pandora can't.

Not necessary? Batteries are what, a few quid? you sound like the world is going to cave in by making a pandora battery lol....

And no you currently cannot use any cfw on a psp 3000 over 5.03 fw.. besides, this is irrelevant as op has a psp phat

I will REITERATE the easiest and safest way is the pandora method, if anyone disagrees, you are a moron, and you probably have too many posts, get out and get some fresh air

Right well i used Gimme's method, worked a treat,

however, the psp had a broken screen before i installed a new one this morning, then installed the new modded firmware and now realised that the left dpad direction seams to be stuck?

any ideas on solving this issue?

I don't think I did, I just said I wouldn't advise it, as it's not necessary.

Other members wondering the same thing may read this thread, so sometimes it helps to give a complete answer to a question.

It's safer to open up a battery and cut the pins, instead of running some software on it whilst it is in the PSP? Okay.

Running some software is safer? what if it bricks? then what einstein? oh, he needs to get a pandora battery and magic memory stick, and he will have difficulty doing so because his psp is bricked, chuffing idiot...

And it's a pin, not pins....

thesaint
Or any 1000 or any 2000..

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, the firmware version is irrelevant for pandora, on ANY psp 1000's, or any psp 2000's unless it has the ta-088v3 mobo..

When you have a clue, captain google, get back to us
