Done a couple of sites in PHP, but not for a while and my knowledge is limited.

When I had any problems I used Sitepoint's forums, like here you get very quick responses normally.

Could give it a go.

PHP sub forum here:

http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34

Out of interest, what is the problem ?

Thanks for that! Rep left

I've added a contrib (featured products) to my store but when I try to add products to it in my admin I come up with an error page. Problem is to install this, it strips out the product of the month box - so at the mo I have no products showing on my front age whatsoever.

The problem is a Cannot redeclare tep_db_connect() mainly, although i've commented out the tep bit in database.php and have gotten myself to the stage where it says:

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/sites/www.mysite.co.uk/public_html/mycatalogue page/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 45

Everytime I 'fix' something I get twice as many errors so I want to make sure I am 'fixing' the right thing to begin with- lol

I really appreciate the reply! Your a star!

Yes I did :) ..........................................

Although it was a test shop using different pictures and wasn't anywhere near good enough to let customers in!, I was having a play and seeing how things worked out.

I'm not a web designer but just wanted to have a go at HTML, PHP etc!

So my lovely zebra striped mate,

You any good with PHP?

FWIW

I gave up with OScommerce as it was taking far too long to get right.

In the end I went for ZenCart as I found it mush easier.

Nope!, Sorry!, Pass!!!

Most of what I did was off bits of advice from different forums and different bits of nicked source code cobbled together and seeing if it worked!

I was looking at setting up my own site and shop, But I couldn't find the right goods at the right price so didn't bother learning any more!

I'd help If I could but i'd probably destroy the hardwork you've already done! :giggle:

I know, someones recommended Joomla which is supoosed to be good too.

problem is I'm right at the finishing line and have spent loads of time and money getting it to the stage its at - I dont think I could muster up the motivation if I had to scrap it and start again

I dont think I have enough hair left to start over:giggle:
