I'm fine during the day but once it turns dark I'm a nightmare, I stay in hotels on my own sometimes. Freaks me out a little lol

Don't see why it wouldn't be fun! Where were you thinking?

Fell out with someone a few days in one holiday once and spent rest of the week on my own, had an amazing time. Although I was fearless back then, not sure if Id be the same now:)

Definate pro is that you get to do exactly what you want, but there's no doubt that great memories are always formed with those close to you. I wouldn't rule it out and if you do an activitiy type holiday, who's to say you won't meet like minded people and make new friends.

I'm not a loner my friends prefer different holidays to what i like - just to clarify that!

I admire anyone that can go abroad by themselves... I know I couldn't do it myself. Just be careful, read up about the place and be "streetwise". Remember when socialising abroad thats it's not always a good idea to tell everyone that your by yourself. Just use judgement but above all have fun  :)

Probably safer than London

When me and a mate were on an 18-30 holiday in gran canaria we met a dude who was on his own, he was having a whale of a time, using the Im on my own sob story to all the women lol.
It worked well for him.

been a few places, you can do what you want, go where you want, you wont have to comprimise anything as your by yourself and you can be totally selfish and have a great time, dont be intimidated just do your research first

I booked a holiday for myself years ago.

By the time I went though I had 2 tag alongs - girls I'd not really known, but that had also become recently single - so we all went and had a blinding time!

I'd say go for it - make it what you want

I went to Australia a ferw yrs ago on my own. I did Sydney for a Fortnight alone and then flew over to stay with my cousin in Perth, they were working all the time so i spent the time alone, only returning back to the house is when i would see them.

I loved every minute of it, doing what i wanted when i wanted. If i wanted a pint i'd have a pint, if i wanted to sunbathe i'd sunbathe.,

The only bad time was the flight to Oz, i was so tired and exhausted that when i was about half way there i decided i was coming home,i mean landing and heading straight for departures and getting a flight out of there,, i dont think i was thinking straight, but once i landed it all lifted and i loved every bit of it

Toured round Malaysia & Thailand on my own for 6 months and the amount of single travellers you meet is amazing, also travelled europe alone and made a mountain of friends in the process, go for it, it may be scary to start off with but its worth it
