I like birds ;) but I wouldn't go there.

Meh, it just sounds like one of those places my parents dragged me to because I'd like it... but I didn't. But hey :) What area are you from, next door or further away?

Birdword, Farnham?

Brilliant day out for all and very educational.

Yes it's expensive, but you will find it's not crowded with 'chavs'.

The road train is good along with the bird talk near Jennys farm.

The birds fly all around you while being educational.

Excellent picnic area with turkeys and and farm animals all around.

The turkeys are friendly and you can feed them.

After you have done all that, you can pop into the aquarium section for free near the entrance.

The kids will not expect to see aligators up so close!

Go to it.

Afterwards, pop into Farnham town and visit the museum.

They have activities for kids of all ages for free.

I recently made chocolates there with my 8 year old.

Then we learnt about the first car made in Farnham.

So that's your day covered for all weather.

Let me know if you need other activities in the area, there are loads!

Half a mile further on from Birdworld towards Bordon is Alice Holt.

They have good walks with climbing frames and structures for all to climb on.

They also have Go-Ape. High tree walks and zip wires.

Over 10s only. Your 12 year old will like that.

oh that sounds good, how much is entrance there?

Entrance to Alice Holt is free.

They do put on some activities which they charge a small amount for. Bouncy castle, archery, rifle shooting, climbing wall type things.

It's about £10 for the Go-Ape.

While your in the town, across the road and towards the town from the museum is The Plough.

In this pub, they do good fairly cheap lunches.

There is a table tennis table in the garden and they also have loads of board games.

Just ask at the bar.

Best thing is, it's usually very quite so idea for the family. Dogs are allowed inside!
