We are taking Mum-1st Xmas without Dad so we want it to be good accomodation. I have booked flights so just need a nice place to stay. Mum has mobility problems and likes the shops and good food-but we need something for the kids too age 15 and 6...its for 12 days staring on 18th Dec.
I have looked at Sands beach villas but still unsure..if anyone has any experience it would be gratefully received ;)
I have looked at the reviews and often wonder if the reviewers have stayed at the same place-lol-the reviews are so different!
We would like a heated pool too :)

Thanks guys, I now you lot will be the ones who are in the know ;)

personally we prefer the playa blanca resort..much more relaxed and family orientated.

sorry hun never stayed in hotels....so cant recommend one... costa tguise is nice as well..persoanally not a fan of busy resorts like puerta del carmen so i think u got the right resort....

villa every time over a hotel, especially if a few of you are going. Jamesvillas are best.

most villas in lanzarote are very near or actually in the resort centres. the local hotels welcome outsiders for evening events although its pretty quiet everywhere in lanzarote compared to costas.

haha its not rude.... its easier with children especially when last year we went o fuerteventura and the kids were extremely ill...nice to have ur own full kitchen..lounge..bedrooms....

we have gone james villas 4 times... love them

the thing about a villa is u have ur own pool as well and then we get a car and just go off and do our own thing... the kids are very young so basically its shopping and sightseeing and eating.... kids go down early and we just take a bunch of dvds to watch .... so not the height of excitment but it works when the kids are young....and personally we love it!

would never go back to a hotel after staying in a villa. the peace and quiet alone is worth the extra. then again, if you like the benidorm / blackpool type atmosphere............... :)

i asked for help not insults-my mum is 78 and has quite different needs to you. Maybe you are happy with a book but she likes a bit more company.

And what are you on about EXTRA-the villas are cheaper...
