Went with my auntie and took myself to summer school (Christian travellers) as I enjoyed it, I'm getting married soon in a church and if she has a problem with me not believing in jesus well my girlfriend will be really upset.

MMMMmmm... seriously watched all those conspiracy things... and the Jesus stuff, ie the religious lies that people live their lives by. Think it'll be 200 years before things change. No smoke without.... Christianity is very guilty in history, and now Islam does the same thing... extremists. Some Christians are *****, and some are the greatest people you could meet... some Muslims are ***** and some are the greatest people you could meet... as in all religions.... shame they are all based on myth and legend and humanities fear of death. Maybe we should all just start liking each other

But you don't believe he is the son of god....but this video says he is the Sun and the whole story of his birth is to do with the alignment of the stars at the time

It's a topic that I could talk about for days, but considering it's gone 1:30am I will just say I have very strong doubts about his existence. The story of Jesus Christ is based heavily on that of Mitra, who appears in the ancient Hindu scripture called Rigveda. There may well have been a prophet (and I use that term loosely) that had the story attached to him, but at the time there were some many of them that it was like something out of Monty Python's Life of Brian. There's a distinct lack of real evidence for his existence and the same goes for other religious figures such as Moses. You would have thought if that many Jews wandered the desert for that many years, they would have left a trace, but no.

You don't need Zeitgeist to question your beliefs though; religious texts for the most part can be easily debunked through logic and a basic grasp of scientific theory and knowledge.

I wouldn't class myself as an Atheist though, but I don't believe in any of the religious text. I like the idea of Deism, but it appears to be wholly idealistic.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Goodnight.

Exactly... and only time will tell.... unless of course we stay asleep to the reality of existence. Its a control thing and a fear thing... and a "we are too scared " thing.... and I am scared.. Faith..... all consuming word... or all excusive... missed the "l" out

As far as the numbers and the "virgin birth" etc... there are lots of stories that are the same that pre date christianity... sry that made me doubt... but Christianity covered itself with the ....not sure of the exact qoute.... but as somebody possibly putting doubt in your mind... I am now condemned to hell. Spanish inquisition stuff... If there is a god.... and if he/she/it loves me... it's all man made to make us as we are. There is something though.... just not a religious thing... spiritual? I cant think of a worste hell than having to sing gods praises for eternity.... E T E R N I T Y... I heard that somewhere else.

Everyone should read the book " God is not great " by Christopher Hitchens, It is all so obviously just a way of controlling people, As he says all the prophets that that there ever were have been and gone and there can never be any more as science would discredit them in a second,That is why all religions have to survive on stories from thousands of years ago,There probably was a Jesus and he probably was a well meaning man but a man none the less,Why if all the prophets knew so much why didnt they foresee the advent of motor vehicles or aeroplanes or television, Didnt god know that one day these things would exist,

I believe that Jesus lived and was a good man but not in any of the claptrap that goes along with him.

Now tell me what your religion is worth?

Surely those convinced by the Zeitgeist film are also believing a lot of made up rubbish too. The Zeitgeist crowd offer no hard facts that can be qualified by any respectable historian. Also they are rehashing old methods of debunking religion. I have reprinted books dating back to the 1800s that offer factual and detailed investigation to the origin of religion, one of which "The Two Babylons" by Alexander Hislop reveals the true historical birth of the religions we know today.

Isn't it amazing that people who claim they don't believe everything they read on the Internet actually do when it suits their biased and uninformed reasoning!
