I have used them once, never again, bunch of muppets, contact only via email, wrong goods sent out, cannot "swap" incorrect goods for correct ones straight away, have to send a courier to pick up the incorrect goods (their fault) then reorder if item is in stock, costs them more money that way and me more time.

Website is also a joke, keeps crashing...won't be using these muppets again.

Most companies want u to send back the goods first even if its been their mistake

OP I have used them and was a brilliant service - their prices are great. I ordered twice from them and each time taken about a week.

And other companies initiate a swap with the courier, especially if an item is faulty or is an erroneous item. *Like a recent mobile phone I received faulty from Virgin Mobile, no fuss straight swap with the courier*

As stated, no phone contact number given, it takes 2 days for customer services to reply to each email, their website is seriously in need of the backbone of it sorting out (took me an hour to put my order through).

Their prices may be great on discontinued stocks, but their customer service isn't, like everything, if things go well you don't have any complaints with a company, its only when things go wrong and you look at the customer service side of things you realise how good or how cack a company is, so how do you know what their service is like? Have you had to contact them when there has been a problem? Were they quick to respond and sort things out for you?

The OP has had a problem with their order regarding slow (or in their instance at the moment no delivery) it takes 2 days for Halfcost to get back to you by an email response...hardly great when you are buying expensive electronics.

I have used Halfcost numerous times mainly for their larger items - it does take a while for some items to arrive mind you - and when I say a while - I am talking well over a week!!! Although you get e-mails saying order received, order reviewed, order despatched - I have to treat them with caution as sometimes the goods turn up before the e-mails, other times the goods don't turn up at all!

Their customer service is nothing short of SHOCKING!!! But having said that - when you consider the price of some of the items, you can understand why.....

Some things have never turned up at all, and others have turned up totally smashed to pieces and no good to anybody..... I have no end of troubles with them, but overall, when they do get it right - it is worth it.

They do ship via HDNL, the problem lies in the fact that with orders you don't actually get a despatched email! (at least in my instance) therefore there is no tracking number given!

if i look at my online orders there is a id no next to it

Mine did not even have a despatched status next to it when it was shipped, and still says processing now with 22nd November next to it, I have already received my item and in the process with the courier to return it as its incorrect per the description on the website, as the other poster stated above my post, they don't always get things correct with delivery statuses.

In fact in my instance they have got NOTHING correct, terrible company.

.Website needs an overhaul, slow at times, to practically unusable
.Do not list phone number for contact with problems
.Email response takes at least 2 days per query over goods
.Order status and emails lacking updates
