I've dislocated mine before, not nice, very painful. Swelled up and I could hardly open my month.

if you broke your jaw you wouldnt be wondering if you had broke your jaw...I had mine dislocated before and the pain was indescribable.....

thanks guys/girls, I cant see nothing swelling up in the mirror, it only hurts when I eat ,and my ear feels a bit funny to because the contact was between my jaw/ear.

I got training again on Saturday you see, don't really want to be going in with a fractured jaw or something, don't feel to bad, just hurts when I eat, must of just bruised it pretty bad I think.

Yes, when i got run over as a kid. You'd know if you'd broken it.

I couldn't move my mouth/jaw at all and the pain was incredible.

Dislocated it over 50 times in training am an expert at getting it back in now!!! no its not broke you would KNOW.

Hopefully yours is just bruised and all will be back to normal quickly.

BG...broke mine nearly 2 years ago...I actually thought I had lost a tooth..there was a gap at the front...then I realised when I pushed my tongue against the left side of jaw the whole section was moving...it was broken in 2 places

So not as much as you think...

does it move at all? Best to go down hospital for an x-ray if you think it is..

yeah it moves left and right, I didn't feel the pain until the next day, so most likely a bruise, how about you, did you feel something was wrong straight away

Why don't you get someone to punch you in your jaw and if it hurts more than it does already then it was not broken....but it would probably be now.

yeah, but I honestly thought I had lost a tooth cause there was a gap and blood where a tooth would be...never thought to actually count my teeth or I would have realised...

I noticed next day when I pushed my tongue to the left of jaw and it moved...yet the right didnt...like I said, I had cracked it in 2, have 2 steel plates there now, also cracked the back piece, which locks from bottom to top
