I always remember the Albert Einstein quote "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

They claim to be on exercise but the missiles they are moving cant reach us , The Iskander-M system is relatively modern and was introduced into the Russian military in 2006. It is highly mobile - a pair of missiles are carried on a heavy-wheeled launcher. The missile is known as the SS-26 and code-named "Stone" by Nato. It is equipped with a variety of counter-measures to try to breach enemy defences. Fired from Kaliningrad, it can reach all of the Baltic republics and probably about two-thirds of Poland. in other words they are short range missiles but yea Putin does have a screw lose ..

Why is NATO remaining quiet in this s situation?
NATO is irrelevant to the common market!

At least if they start WW3 then the doom & gloom merchants will have something else to moan about other than our excellent decision to leave Europe.

Trump and Putin in the same room. Nice.

Yeah

Its like the Cuban Missile Crisis (not)

Its just Putin getting annoyed with the West flexing muscles & trying to dictate to the middle east.

Oh yeah.. Oversensitive is the answer to your question & possibly brainwashed..

Yes blame Brexit as since we voted out they have had time to build nuclear weapons, China has built a new island, Russia has taken over ukraine and North Korea are building a bigger army.

UK 60 million population.
Russia 1.3 billion population.
It works out that each person in the UK will need to batter just over 20 Russians to win :-)

Bring it on (gulp) oO

Are you getting Russia mixed up with China? - Russia's population is only around 130-140 million.

You might be confusing Russia with China or India. Easily done of course - many a time I've fancied a Borsch and ended up with Chicken Chow Mein or a Korma.

The missile move is probably more symbolic than anything else. Just a reaction to Nato's defence shield. In all honesty, I think the Russians have been quite tame despite Nato and the EU's encroachment onto their borders despite assurances at the end of the cold war that it would never happen. The Russians have been treat terribly since the end of the Cold War in my opinion, we should have embraced them and not treated them as outcasts and provoke them, we have more in common with them than we do the Americans.

I would rather have Putin as a friend than an Enemy. He's doing what's needs to be done in Syria. If the US had their way it would be a repeat of Libya, handing the country over to a set of Islamic extremists (in a worse position than they were before) exporting terror while persecuting Christians and Jews. You know, its a complete Joke, Trillions spent and the Middle East is still as unstable as it has ever been. Let the Russians have a crack at it, you cant break something that's already broken.
