Anyone Drive To Metro Centre, Gateshead Today?

I've never seen it so busy on the roads. Took me over an hour to drive a distance that would normally take about 3 minutes, with no exaggeration!

It's not a 3 minute drive. It's 15-20 mins drive from my house. What i meant was when we got to the point of what would normally be 3 mins away, it took an hour.

Here's a pic. Red circle shows the metro centre, yellow line is the 3 min journey that took over an hour.

A giant Balloon

Not been to Metro Centre for ages. It's just too big and I thought far too expensive, maybe that has changed in the 6 or so years since I last got on a bus to go there.

Yeh but the metro centre owns that ground and lease it out to those shops, which is all they do in the main building so it's still techincally part of the overall metro centre.

dunno what its called. Just the quickest route if you're north bound on the A1 and parking at the green mall (M&S side). If you park at the other side of the metro centre, it's quicker to carry on further up the A1 i find.
