As in the title really. Sent my iPhone back to an insurance company for a claim, via Special Next Day delivery on the 17th December and it still says 'This parcel is currently progressing through our network' Aaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Anyone else having problems like mine? Especially with special delivery?

You phoned the insurance company to inform them and gave them the tracking number?

RYSD has been suspended due to the bad weather and although you can still pay for and use the service, they aren't promising item will get there next day!

What did royal mail say when you called them?

a parcel I sent to my grandparents recorded still says that, but they had it a week before xmas.
Call the insurance company and see if they got it

No i haven't because the past few days have been counted as bank hol's so have been unable to get in touch, good idea though thanks.

thats fair enough, but its nearly 2 weeks later! I wonder if op can get postage refund?

What did royal mail say when you called them?


The customer service centre has been closed because of the bank hols since christmas, I thought i would try and give it every chance to get there, but its a bit ridiculous now, especially next day delivery still not having been attempted to have been delivered 2 weeks after it was posted.

Thats a big help thankyou, so they might have it but the status hasn't been updated? That could make sense, a bit slack on Royal mail's part, but nothing suprises me about them now to be honest.

Your still best ringing the insurance company to make sure they have received it though.

dont pay for royal mail calls to 08457 740 740 instead use 01752 387112 this number is for customer services,these numbers are nearly always inclusive in call plans

I have had this happen to me at least 4 times now with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.It says that it is still being processed.I have 2 claims with RM for lost items at the moment.I thought the idea of using this service was so that you could track and trace your item?Rm dont seem able to do that themselves!!!!
