missus just got back from docs and he told her that 2 year old daughter had RSV, he said just give her plenty of fluids and keep an eye on her

i looked online and it says that tests need to be done by swabbing the nostrels which he didnt do so i wonder can he be sure its that, he did take temp and heartbeat pace which was fast

also online people say its serious and most people that have spoke about it their child was in hospital, but then others say its fine.

my daughters 2 years old and wasnt premature or anything, she coughed all night last night and breathing was fast which the docter was told

so just wondering if anyone here has experience with it?

any info would be great

I'm not a doctor, nor do I have any kids, but with my experience in the field I would recommend some Vick's menthol rub on the back and front chest of the child. Then give it 24 hours. That should do the trick.

Plenty of coughs and colds about at the minute.

Worst thing you can do is start scouring the net to what it could be.

Just follow the doctors advice, and if she gets any worse then contact your local GP/walk in centre/NHS Direct.

wouldnt normally bother me but since moving we now about 30 miles away from any hospital and dont drive and there is no taxi service here either
