I've been looking for a Canon 600D, the price on slrhut looked good but then when you go to checkout the tax is added which increases it a lot. Did a quick search and found some info which showed their supposed UK office on Google maps, its just a mailbox centre.

I'm also in the market for 600D with 18-55mm lens.
I would definitely keep away from SLR hut.

The best prices I found with UK specification are available from:

Cecil Jacobs (Quidco showing 3% cash back) (TCB showing 3.09% cash back)

    http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/search.aspx?SearchTerm=Canon+600D

    Or

Jessops (Quidco showing 6% cash back) (TCB showing 4.04% cash back)

    http://www.jessops.com/Directory/catalogue.ashx/$s=Canon%20600D

Both quote £599.95 (less £40.00 cash back from Canon) = £549.95

    Good Luck in your quest.

These guys are definite cowboys. Purchased an £700 AV amp from them before checking this out.

Assuming that a CO.UK company purporting to be in London would be sending a UK product. What I received was a US product with a standard 2 pin to 3 pin converter. If I had plugged this into the 240V mains it would most likely have blown up or caught fire.

Not to mention that the customs declaration claimed the item was valued at £12! something I will also be reporting.

I am aware that you can get step down transformers for the voltage difference but for an item that draws 1000W they are not cheap.

Spoke to their 'customer support' who claimed they do not accept returns on amps. And even if they did, I would need to pay £200 to ship it back. Having politely aired my disapproval and asking to speak to a manager, they ended up just hanging up the phone on me.

I have already taken the matter up with my credit card company to get a refund through them instead.

So, in short... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Slrhut sent me the wrong I-pad, never sorted it out, promised compensation but that was the last I heard from them.
Their London base is a PO box at the side of a takeaway. Prices shown are not inclusive of VAT. All orders despatched from the States. If you send anything back it will cost you dearly.
Do a search on the internet and you will find a lot of untruths about this business, dont believe the facebook page either. Post a negative comment and see how long it stays there for. I could have bought the Ipad I wanted from Tesco in the end for the same price as Slrhut, with a full take back to store guarantee. Do yourself a favour, dont deal with this American based company.

The company operates from America, time zone difference is the reason.

THEY SAY YOU CAN GET A VAT INVOICE FROM THEM BUT YOU CAN'T AS THEY ARE NOT A UK VAT REGISTERED COMPANY. They imply that they are but they are US registered. Simon Mann in their customer service department lied to me telling me I could get a VAT invoice sent to me when pressed though he finally admitted that they don't have a VAT registration. This means that as VAT registered company I can't claim back the 20% VAT on this purchase - which means that the price given to me has been very misleading and incorrect. This company are also very unreliable - I spent £6000+ buying a Canon 1DX with them and regret it - I should have paid extra and gone to Calumet or someone reputable. A salesman called Mark was very pushy when trying to make a sale but after they have your money they are very difficult to make contact with and very unhelpful - they do not LISTEN to your questions but talk all over you - he keeps putting me off and putting me on endless hold. They lied to me about delivery times and eventually I had to get a refund to buy a lens elsewhere. BEWARE they also sold me some really expensive spare batteries for my Canon which weren't even Canon Brand (which can ruin your warranty with Canon)... They implied that the batteries were Canon but they weren't. Overall I think there is something a bit dodgy about this company.. is it UK based or not ? ? If not then look again at your price comparisons because they won't work out that cheap.

Has a UK address but ship's from USA hence 'opening' times. Any problems then you call UK number stated but get redirected. Ordered Bose Headphones but received wrong product when I contacted them they expected me to send product back via courier at my expense they then increased the product I had ordered on their web-site price by £100. Now will not reply to emails etc. Will have to use section 75 CCA to gain refund as product was purchased by credit card.

SlrHut states its address is Unit 17 Kenninton Lane, London SE11 5HY but this is just a rental mail box company

Avoid! Thought I'd give SLEHUT the benefit of the doubt. These guys are an absolute joke. On hold for hours, passed from billing to customer services then back again. I must have paid a fortune on calls. I paid £40 delivery for a Nikon 1 j1 white camera. I should have today received my camera. Following repeated calls, they eventually offered me a black Nikon 1, which means that they never had the camera in the first place. They called me to upgrade to 3-5 business days delivery meaning that I would receive the camera in good time before Christmas. There's nothing worse than a dealer that lies. Again after long delays on hold and emails I have now managed to cancel my order. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALTHOUGH THEIR SITE IS .CO.UK. THIS COMPANY ARE IN AMERICA!! Please Avoid everyone.

I loathe companies like SLRHut- I placed the order online and paid up. I would love to buy in person but can just about never be on the phone during working hours. When I buy something online i expect to complete the transaction... online. I then receive one call (which i missed as it was daytime) from SLRHut asking to call them back "in order to ensure your order ships in a timely manner, please call us back on...". I emailed them back to tell them this was not possible- unless there was a problem, to go ahead and send the camera asap please. No answer. they sent me a second email. No answer. A third. No answer. I then made a complaint via their "customer services"- who gave me the same answer! Reading now it seems that this is their big hard-sale call which bags them a few more bucks- at the cost of your prompt camera delivery. I have now received seven emails saying the same thing, emailed them back five times, and still... NO ANSWER. I even found time once to call them, but after 10minutes queueing I gave up. I have no idea if i will ever get my camera. All because of their "ransom your camera until you go through our sales call" policy.
    Disgusting. Steer Clear.

These guys are liars and their website is misleading. They are a US Company, shipping Grey imports. Henry, their MD, says that their products come with a Worldwide Warranty which is rubbish. Whilst they claim to have a UK presence, it is a Mailboxes etc address. They are not a Limited Company in the UK, and neither are they VAT registered. AVOID !
