Firstly i dont fly very often, so forgive me if my questions are obvious.

Im about to book some economy tickets to Prague via Swiss Air (cheapest option) is this by anychance classed as a budget airline, where the costs of food & drink are not included?

I hear they make you check-in online, which i have never done before, and am a little confused on?

ive heard some airlines make you print out your boarding pass or charge you, does anyone know if its the same with Swiss?

and are there any hidden or suprise fee's when i get to the airport?

ive selected the flights online and there showing the following

Fare 91.00
Fuel Surcharge 33.20
Airport taxes 68.70
SWISS Service Fee 0.00

Number of passengers x 3

Grand-Total £578.70

Thank you all !!!!!!!!!!

I booked Swissair once for flights from Gatwick to Geneva.

However BA and Swiss Air have some route agreement and ended up with a BA flight instead. Good news as it was free drinks on BA whereas it wasnt on Swiss Air.

yes a few times from london city, never paid more than £100 and never had any hidden extras, bagage included, food and beer!

Tho All flights even with the same company can be different, it will state all what you ask or need to know when booking.

Are you booking online? if so you wont have an issue checking in online, its simple, you can still check bags in at the airport if needed, and any boarding passes will get emailed to you when booked online to print yourself

Thank you!!!

Yes, im about to book online (unless cheaper by phone) were going to need to check-in maybe 2 or 3 suitcases (all under 20kg each and so should be free).

so, once i printed the 3 boarding passes, do i just check the baggage at the desk?

and its a in-direct return flight to Prague (in-direct via Geneva) all Swiss, im guessing i have to do the same thing again and re-check the bags?

never flown them, hate flying. However a friend of mine who's flown all round the world votes them in his top 2. As mentioned here no hidden charges and lots of extra's.

yep, you normally show your printed boarding passes at the bagage drop point, they print the lables for the cases and off they go.

Ive only ever had one indirect flight ( not swiss ) and they sort all the bag changes for you, you just have to run around the airport to your next gate, stoping for a toilert break!

A little bit more praise for swiss, they allowed my ski gear for free and have done the last few years, paid £68 return from london city to basel aswell once, cheep for the very high level of service!

The only downside was getting on the underground at 8am monday morning, with a bag, boots bag and ski's :D Didn't seem to please the other comuters
