Hi

We have just bought a jetski, primarily to take abroad with us but with this lovely weather we are wondering where we can use it here?

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can use it (we are in London) and can we just turn up there and jump in the water with it?
Do we need insurance?
Are there any UK rules we need to follow?
Any advice would be great, thanks!

Yes you should have insurance.
There are places that you need a licence type thing, not too expensive though. Pretty popular along the south coast. I used to go to Hayling island with a few friends who owned them.

Errrm Can I ask how you plan on taking it abroad? I wouldn't fancy taking it across the channel.

Yeah, that link was a training place, but shows that they allow jet skis in the area. It's really nice around Poole harbour.

Will look into it then, thanks again - it just doesn't state anything about it being a launch site
