Anyone good with television set up?? Help please!

I've just got my little boy (what i hope to be!) a bargain telly.

Problem is i'm not sure how i will be able to connect it to an ariel.

We live in a fairly new house that has only ever had sky. I seem to think it doesn't have a tv ariel on the house just a sky dish???

We have sky downstairs Magic eyed (or whatever it is!) to our bedroom. Another bedroom has a sky box with a freeview card in it.

This tv is for my son who is in a room without a sky ariel point. What do i need to do???

Is there any point getting an ariel on the tv or will it be useless??? Can he get normal tv signal??? the tv has feeview built in.

Any help appreciated!

To be fair the main purpose is so he can watch his dvd's in a morning but it would be great to have freeview working also.

Thanks!!

just buy a small £5 aerial from poundland. If you want to be really tight i remember the days when a simple screw driver shoved in the back of the port used to work.

Wouldn't try that now though.

I'd start with one of these...

Is the TV upstairs? An indoor aerial may well be enough, but if you can borrow one to check first, might save you some moolaa.

I think it depends on the reception in your area. This link might help:thumbsup:

Thanks - seem to think the signal wasn't great when we moved in unfortunately.

Will see how it goes!
