Anyone got a Fridgefreezer in an upstairs kitchen?

I want to buy one of those big American style fridgefreezers but my kitchen is on the first floor. There is no way to get one up the stairs as they turn 90 degrees half way up and the banisters are in the way. So the only way to get one into the kitchen is through the house and into the back garden. From there, it would need to be hoisted up to double doors (in the kitchen) and over a just-above waist height handrail.

Has anyone else done anything like this? Can you tip these fridgefreezers onto their back? How did you do it?

Many thanks for any help with this!

i think if you do tip it back you have to wait for it to settle but ideally you should move it upright

I've delivered a few of these fridges in my time and there was only one I couldn't get in. You can turn them which ever way you want but you must leave them to settle for 24 hrs before putting it back on. You can take the doors off all of them to get them in. If you can get the dimensions of the width and depth (without doors) then make a template and see if it fits!
