i have quite a big house and it doesn't take me *that* long to vacuum, i use a dc25 multi floor and it takes no effort at all to vacuum with it, it's just like walking around the house for a bit, not something that makes me cry when i think about it

Roomba has numerous onboard sensors to detect dirt, dodge obstacles, and steer clear of things like tassles on rugs and telephone cords that could cause it problems. When it's finished, it nips back into its "docking" station and recharges itself for next time. You could almost say it has a mind of its own!

never used one myself but i'm guessing it won't vacuum up everything, if it has sensors to stop it from hitting things then it's probably useless unless you have an empty room with no chairs or tables etc

i used to have the roomba (an early model) was good until i got a new rug and its pointless now as i have less floor for it to do - cats hated the thing :)

Apparantly they are really good.
I would really like one myself but cant afford one.

So, everyone believe in manual labour ??

Anyway, I took the plunge and got myself a Roomba 560 on second hand....
One word... definitely worth a punt..
I have scheduled it to vacuum every day...

Less nagging from the other half...Back to tranquillity !!
