Anyone having problems with Virgin cable internet this weekend?

  Mine normally maxes out but been having problems since the 'free' upgrade that somehow costs more lol.

  Fine in Leeds 30Mb Down whenever i've needed it over the weekend. Always been a good area though for any connection ADSL or Cable

  I think you've been pretty lucky so far then to max out 100mb. Just wait a bit to see if it clears up and if it doesn't than good luck with dealing with their customer service X)

  Only got the 100 a week ago and its gone downhill since then. Never had a problem when it was 50, apart from the odd signal loss every now and again. Been on hold now for 29 minutes......

  29mins. wow thats ridiculous. I think the only time when mine was flawless was the first week. Then its gone downhill since then. This fiasco is making me doubt the effect of my 'free' upgrade. mmmmm may be time to move to bt

  Well we got to speak to somebody and he reckoned it was because my windows wasn't up to date. It never has been and i've never had a problem. I told him i'm not convinced but i'll let WI do its thing (will probably take a week lol) then ring back. I see a fresh install coming when it's finished pmsl.

  I was on 20mb, just took the free upgrade to 30mb, and they've upgraded straight away to 60mb. My area was on the list for an upgrade in October-March.

  IIt depends on what wireless card your pc/laptop is using. it needs to be a 'n' wireless card to get a good speed. I had issues with 100mb vm tested mine on http://www.vmspeed.com is came out at 100mb wired to the router and 75mb wireless

  yup, should be 50Mb/s, was at 50 earlier today (tested before watching football) . this is the second weekend in a row were it has dropped to around 2Mb/s. had nothing but trouble since we moved up from 10 Mb/s. complete waste of money. I'm about 40 yards from the exchange. Had an engineer out 3 times in 3 months. getting pretty sick now.
