Just out of curiosity would it work with a normal scanner like a canon lide?

Some scanner have a holder for the slide and scans it in then there is an option in the scanner software the corrects the image.
Check in help on your software (might be downloadable too)

That one is ok,, but need something @ 42-bit and @ 4000dpi, for printing and editing....
