Anyone know a bit about badminton?

Im quite good at it but i know nothing about the rackets except from the tightness of the strings, dampners, vibros and light metal such as carbon and titanium

im looking at ebay number 320285718641 and looks quite good but i found a cheaper one for 320285462556.

Which one is better?

Cheers

As a BAofE coach, I would say that you should try any potential racquet out for feel & balance. Obviously you can't do that if you're buying off Ebay, so...

You don't say what standard you are (other than 'quite good'); if you would class yourself as 'club level' (i.e. better than a Saturday-swing-at-the-shuttle player) then you should be aiming for a better quality racquet.

Less than 'club level'? Then either of these may be good enough, assuming that they are not too losely strung (or too tightly strung).

My advice - go to a sports shop, try some racquets out, then see if either of these two match up to your 'wanted' list from the shop.

I have previously brought badminton racquets of eBay and found that they were fake

I would go to a local sport shop and purchase one from there as you will get the real thing. It will cost you a little more than what you will get one from eBay but it will be the real thing and also you will be able to feel the racquet before you buy it

if I was you, i'd personnally go to them sports shops and swing a few. Some is built for strength, and some for speed. Go for your type of style. You should be able to feel the difference cos I managed to have a go - didn't buy one though :D

i prefer yonex racquet (just habit) ... my first was a dunlop (wooden frames!) given to me by my dad. have a carlton now. i'd say you'll need to test drive these at the shop as the handle fit, the weight, tightness is a personal thing.

and if you're serious about badminton, play with the feather shuttlecocks otherwise you never know how to play proper badminton.

new decent level rackets can be found at www.inbadminton.co.uk.

the lower end rackets are really good value. i play county level and use them. our coach is a former international and i was watching him use the 40quid one the other day!

anyway, i have a discount code given to me and the uni members as were sponsored by the at UWE.
its RAYYIP. gives u 10% off all perchases.

I had a Yonex when I played (very badly) but my uncle and brother dragged me to the local shop saying I'd be good at it (oh so wrong). They all have different racquets and play at club level so will ask.

try sportsdirect, they have a few good racquets at ridiculously discounted prices, i got a carlton airblade which used to be 100, down to 25 a couple of months ago! not much choice, but a few good deals instore.

Just spoke to my brother and he (along with his team members) plays with a Fleet, says they are just as good as Yonex.

I would agree with this - I have always used Yonex, tried Carlton but went back
