9 year olds weren't about when half of that lot were out:oops:
They won't dance to songs they've never heard of

Thanks everyone - just finished burning the CD

if you've burn half of those "Dad Songs", they won't have heard any of them and will pull their faces for being out of touch
#28
I was being deadly serious and now the silence is golden.....
Trust me, kids will not dance to songs from 10 years ago when they are only 9

I knew you would have some up to date music tastes.
I cannot believe that some of these people were suggesting songs from the 90s before these 9 year olds were born.
It would be like somone playing something from the 70s at your 9th bithday party

Not really as allot of the 90's songs are similar to ones today and are good party songs.

Cotton Eye Joe was about 1994/5 ish.
A 9 year old would be seriously embarrassed at bring out some dad music.
He would want some modern stuff like Ne-Yo or Kanye West.....how embarrassing to bring out songs from when you were teenagers and expect a 9 year old to dance at them.
I pity the boy when he asks his parents, what's this and what's this pulling faces and being bored.
They might be similar, but the thing is the boy won't know them.....

Yeah but a classic bit of Mambo no 5 and I'm blue da ba dee da ba die.
Will be fine.

Kanye west and all the black rap cr*p sucks.

They would say dad, what the f*** is this.
I didn;t just suggest rap, although that would be things they are interest in as would the songs I suggested below.
To have a CD full of songs when you were a teenager is so embarrassing for a child and his guests who would get bored.

If I was 9 and my parents played Mambo No5 and that whatever song it is....I would walk and go to my mate's house and have a party.

Now you're gone - Basshunter
Crank That - Soulja Boy
Come on girl - Taio Cruz
Apologize - timbaland
Elvis Ain't Dead - Scouting For Girls
Something Good 08 - Utah Saints
Worried About Ray -Hoosiers

I don't think boys will like that lot and especially not McFly or High School Musical, they are definitely girl's music.;-)

Yeah, I am surprised that parents these days do not have a clue what their children's tastes are like.....

I love music and I will make sure I know what they like when I have children.
