Hey all

I have a property (end of terrace) that used to have an advertising board on it (and already has the planning permission). Does anyone know the best people to talk to about getting it let? I have approached the big national advertising comapanies (JC Decaux and Clear channel) but haven't heard back from them.

Am I barking up the wrong tree with these guys?

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

Cheers

there should be a board with the company name on it but if not contact the planning department of your council

The board has been removed when the previous advertisers went. Is it possible (legal) to put a board up and just stick a massive sign up saying 'To Let' and then a tel number?

You need to find a media buying company that specialise in OOH advertising.

I think CBS is one of them.

What sort of income could you get with one of those then?

Equivalent to the rent on a small flat. ;)

I take it you live 'rent free' in a small flat then? nice result if you do.

I wonder if its advertising a national product and not a local one how do they know if the advert is effective, do they just go off national trends, if so some hoardings will always be taken whether they are worth it or not.

It is in a pretty good position. The only issue I have is finding someone to market it. I may go to local big companies direct. Thanks for the CBS heads up, i'll give them a try.
