are you buying or selling? I'm sure there's a button you can click to say either way, if you wish to be private. BTW Why do you?lol

Not so it ays 'Hide user ID' so only one person can buy it.

I'm selling.

When listing an item There is a box to tick that says private and its under the section where you put the starting bid, and once ticked no one only you can see who the bidder is.

Thanks but as above it's not what i'm looking for

The feature I'm looking for is so that i can make sure NO ONE buys it except the person i want to buy it.

just list item as ' special for tomm ' or whatever name in heading

when i do it i dont put a pic and in description put special - i.e

Special for holly

as you are putting it on a buy it now

depending on how much it is i always clear it with buyer that the bulk of money will be on postage - to save you on fees

hope this helps

You're on about the pre-approved bidders thingy but I think they've got rid of it honey x

Oh Sorry. I have done that in the pass when someone wanted to 'buy it now' when it was on auction with no bidders, I told them when I had done a revised 'buy it now' listing and they had to be quick and buy before some else gets to it and they have bought straight away.

ebay stopped this feature about a year ago it is no longer possible

Why don't they just pay for it using paypal and bypass ebay altogether? Or are they not happy to do that? That's how I've done it in the past.

Or list it at a ridiculously high price so that no-one buys it, but have it open to offers. Then he can offer you the right amount and you can accept.
