Anyone know how UCAS points work?

Applying for a placement and they want to know how many UCAS points I got. Been like 4years since I looked at this so no idea!

I looked up the table but was wandering if you got say an A at AS-Level and then an A at A-Level do you at 60 and 120 for that subject? Or does the 120 include the AS-Level points?

Cheers

A level - A grade is 120 points
AS Level - A grade would be 60 points

If you get AS then get your A level it would be 120 overall. (60 per year).

There is no double counting. Certain qualifications within the Tariff build on qualifications in the same subject. In these cases only the qualification with the higher Tariff score will be counted. This principle applies to:

I tried to understand how Scottish stuff worked once. I was confused - like some of my mates doing medicine at dundee basically done crap all in their final year at school because they had unconditional offers...whats that all about!? :-D

lol, im at dundee uni lol, wierd haha, and my sis is doing medicine at dundee too

unconditional offer means your in lol, if you get a conditional offer they will tell you what grades you need in your final year, dont get them, you dont get in, if you have an unconditional there are no conditions attached, youve got a place and you can just relax lol
