I put custom firmware 4.01 on my psp a while ago, however i have another psp i brought of someone which is at 1.50, however on the memory card is a program called devhook, it seems to try to emulate different firmwares. It would not play a back up of my snk game though as the firmware didnt go high enough on devhook software, anyway the question i have is, is it worth updating this devhook software or am i better of putting the same custom firmware on,thanks

Basically DevHook let you run a higher firmware whilst remaining on 1.50, but we are talking WAY back in the day, like before custom firmware (which started at 2.71) was even released!!
Just bump it up to latest cfw and you should be fine mate.
