I've been trying to get back in shape over easter after putting on a bit of weight since the start of Uni in September. 400 calorie burning sessions daily this week have helped along with healthy eating, but beer is still my downfall.

Can anyone suggest some low calorie beers in order to continue with my exercise but reap the gains via cutting out huge calorie intakes via the use of premium lagers.

Rep given to all helpers!

Thanks in advance
David

Miller Light?

Bulmers Light if you fancy a little cider...

Coors light beer?
Otherwise, bottled beers (e.g. becks) tend to be less calorific than tap beers.

Hope that helps :)

Ye, I've been trying to opt for vodka but its a bit different going out at Uni and drinking it rather than having a casual drink with the parents. Plus I genuinely don't like the taste and have a craving for the yeasty taste of sweet beer lol. Thanks though!!

Thanks for that. Will now stick to Vodka when on a "session". Although when drinking recreationally I prefer a decent pint!

My top tip...

Do not eat all day, you will then need very little of any alchoholic substance to fall down drunk, the calorific savings are enormous, but it's as unhealthy as it gets..

Thanks for that, but I do like 3 decent meals everyday. Have tried with the whole crunchy nut diet but to no avail as I always need snacks inbetween. Recently though I have crunchy nut for breakfast and then a jacket potato for lunch, followed by fish for tea. Then I go and spoil it by having 3 beers!!

Sounds like you have the dieting thing nailed down, so indulge yourself a little, life's too short to give up everthing for the sake of living longer.

Think of it like this you could be having a:roll: fry up for brekkie, fish and chips for lunch, Pizza hut for tea and three beers.

You are suffering enough.!

Btw if you stick to your current eating regime, you will die but you will look good in the graveyard.

Lol that made me laugh. The bottom line is when I'm at Uni we go out around 3-4 times a week and I mean get smashed everytime. Add to the fact I'm signed up to the Uni gym, but didn't go once last semester. Then when I come home, I'm bored sh1tless after a week and then hit the crosstrainer/rower/bike/weights machine we have in the garage.

i wouldn't bother with light beer, if you do enough exercise you wont put on weight,
