I would presume that you and everyone else 'gives a crap' about every missing child. If so, you may have misphrased what it was you intended to say.

wo, would you not give a crap if it was your child?

Would like to see a lot of publicity about missing Andrew Gosden.

dont understand why this is still going on, i understand the parents dont want the story out of the media so they can keep her image in the publics minds fair enough but when does any other missing child get this much publicity this is what i understand, and if they put as much effort into looking after her properly that night instead of leaving her alone as they do campaigning then she wouldnt be missing now.

makes me laugh (sarcastic) on gmtv this morning it was said that the McCanns were aware of someone watching them WTF, you think someone is watching your family yet you still leave your kids alone in your hotel room whilst you get tanked up with your mates, If when this was reported i wonder if it had been a "chav" family would they had got the same level of support or would they have been villified by the public more so than the McCanns ever were....

Not being patronising or anything, but I think the more pertinent question to ask is why?

i watched them on Diva on tues night. Probably be repeated through the week.

They will regret the decision they made for the rest of their lives. I always wonder about the male friend who checked on Madeleine & the twins at 9:30pm. (after Gerrys check) If only he had gone and looked to see if Madeleine was in bed instead of 'listening for crying' then maybe the search would have started earlier, god knows :( They have had their daughter taken from them i can't imagine just how painful it must be. Yes thousands of children go missing but it doesn't mean we should all just forget, if anything the Mccans are raising awareness of other missing children too.

we are going on holiday in sept and i wouldnt even dream of leaving mine alone even if i wanted to put the rubbish downstairs (i live in a flat) yet alone go out for dinner and drinks with me mates whilst i leave her in bed asleep alone what if there had been a fire???
im sure if it was me social services would of been involved from the offset, but then im working class:thumbsup:

and whatever pain they are going through im sure its nothing compared to what their little girl has/is going through, through no fault of her own my sympathies are with her not those sselfish pair of noobs

I feel the same about them leaving the kids alone, it was wrong and I find it hard to get my head around it. They say they felt safe within the resort but they should have known better, it was neglect. Just hope one day she is found.

No i don't believe i did. well not that much anyway. I was trying to imply why the hell is she so important?

Now i know this seems bad but i couldn't care less if it was maddie mccan or any other missing child.
unless it was close to home so to speak; i couldn't care less. It just doesn't register as "News".

now im not saying i dont feel bad for parents who lose children at all, not by any means and now would i ever think about wishing it on anyone ever. But it's just not national news.

One of my cats went missing, can i please start a several year long national and quasi international hunt for her?

There's a whole lot of confused messages in what you've just said there; I think you've got some living to do. Maybe when you have kids of your own, you'll understand why the this family are doing everything in their power to keep the story alive.

Oh god no don't get me wrong. I totally understand why and the motives behind it.
It just doesn't fall on my radar, apart from being irritating. Though that isn't the parents fault it is the media's for running with it.

Just read back through the comments, and I'm ashamed of some of you. So much hate and resentment instead of sympathy. You'd even think you had never made a mistake the way some of you are moralising about this! Pathetic.

Let's hope that when you run into to serious trouble in your life - and it will happen, of that you can be certain - that you meet people with better attitudes than yourselves to help you pick up the pieces.

-- This story always brings out the worst in some people on here, and I don't want to read any more of their spiteful crap. The thread will disappear soon enough I'm sure.

hi ya sorry but i just had to comment on what you said (the bit i have out in bold)

In my time i have made plenty of mistakes im not perfect no one is but my understanding of a mistake is when something unitentionally goes wrong

ie;
lock the keys inside the car (i have done many times)
burnt the dinner
picked up the wrong size nappies

Going out to enjoy yourself whilst leaving your kids alone in a hotel room in a foreign country is not a mistake!
