any one use the wireless router?if so is it any good?
im currently using a d-link router which i think is failing because internet goes off so i have to unplug router then plug it in and it works,

im wondering if i should change because as a gift i got £50 6month half price line rental and a free router which turned out to be 2routers one other day and another today,

is it worth using one or are they un-reliable like the talktalk modems?

I have the one above and im on talktalk. I doubt its your router because when I was on talktalk the first 6months my net was going off every 2mintues at certain ours like 4pm untll 11pm and so on. I rang them to say im changing ISP and what my MAC code was, a few days later my net started working fine :|

I think you are probably correct, it is more likely Talk Talk rather than your router, pay peanuts, get monkeys.;-)

I have a Linksys Router it worked fine then started discounting itself

I have the wireless router from TalkTalk (paid £50 :o ) and have the same problem. I don't think it is router's fault, as it happens on the ADSL modem I got for free when I signed up. Already called them few times and all they say that they will look into it (after waiting for 30-40 min listining to that stupid song :? ).

I still have 6 months left with them.:x

i had same problem although my modem cost £30 and all i done was smashed it up as i had a thompson one which ran faster than theirs when i changed drivers
i wrang talktalk up and they said because i did not own a router off them they would not help me i must phone manufacturer of my router which i lied and said i already had and they told me it was your service,
so i demanded a router off them for free which after much persuading i got 2 wireless routers,£50 credit and 6 months half price line rental and they un-capped my service and i can download over 6mbps

I'm with Talk Talk and have a Linksys router and it does it. They deny it and blame my router anc PC though. Mine only does it once or twice a day though. So i'm not too bothered. Maybe once a month it will go down(for at least 2hours at 11pm and come back sometime during the night(before 7am).

Talk talk don't cap your service unless your line isn't stable to handle it. What they actually did was changed you from fast path to interlaced which allows for a greater speed but sacrifices your ping time.

actuall i WAS capped for been a HEAVY user
why would a talktalk employer say i am capped when if what you say is true?
