Remember that this time your partner has another child to look after as well as being pregnant!! Take it from me this isn't easy! Just be patient and all will return to 'normal' after the new baby has been born .... just LOVE & SUPPORT HER! :)

Are you sure she's pregnant, I just thought women were like this anyway.

Hi OP,

I'm in exactly the same situation as you. We are expecting our second in February and this pregnancy has been different from the first one. It's hard work but I do agree with the female posters who are advising you to be as supportive as possible.

When you think about it, the first time round everything was new and exciting. You could concentrate on each other because there were no other children to worry about. This time around you've been through it all before and it's much more tiring because you are parents at the same time.

Give yourselves a break, take a step back and have a talk about things together. You'll probably find she's feeling really insecure and if you talk about it things will feel much better. I'm sure she will also understand where you're coming from.

Also her body is changing at a super fast rate and dosent neciserally look how it did last time, that alone is a big thing for a woman and 100% however good you think she looks she feels polar opposite!!!

in my first pregnancy I coulndnt get enough!! but this time (baby is 4 months) I didnt wanna know at all and still am not back to normal. Remember you love each other an thats what matters more than anything!! just try giving her a cuddle and tell her all the things she wants to hear hopefully cheer her up no end!!! :)

Try to be a bit more understanding, your partner has another person growing inside her of course things are going to change. Its not just the hormones but they play a big part. Just be thankful she is only like this when she is pregnant!
I have always had a high sex drive even when pregnant but my husband didn't like to have sex as he thought his 'ding a ling' would hit the baby! Tried to explain it wasn't that big ... what i am trying to say is talk to your partner it may be that she has just temporary gone off sex or there may be something that is worrying her

Good luck!

Exact same thing happened to me with both pregnancies, mine went through the roof and there wasn't a chance because in his words "he might poke the babies head"

To the OP just remember what she is going through, she has a child inside her to care for plus another child. Maybe if you could help her out a bit more in general and with child number 1 she might show her appreciation ;-)
