Most of the people I know who were big Blackberry fans have since moved on, most to the iPhone. I can't see the appeal of the Blackberry for none corporate users these days.

I got the BB 8900 Curve, and whilst its a great phone and the keyboard is great for typing fast on it.
But I get bored of phones anyway, and I've had this phone for 10 months now. So think my fiancee and I are going to swap phones (G1) for a while so I don't get tempted to sell the 8900 and buy a HTC Desire and wait till my renewal of my contract to get it!

They have made some great phones for what they do. I just think the consumer market has moved on though plenty of posters so far possibly proving me wrong. I had to use one with work for a while as well as support other users and everytime I reset one and gave it to a new user they had difficulty using it.

as a phone...i feel the blackberry is better than the iphone....but as a piece of technology the iphone is leading the market....

if your one that sends and recieves emails then blackberry is the way to go...but if you want a fancy toy then iphone is the way to go.....

man i remember when nokia was the phone to have with their changing covers...how technology has moved on

I have a Blackberry for work (emails over VPN is great - that's where the "greatness" stops with a blackberry) & an iPhone for personal use.

I don't know how people can compare these 2 phones, they are completely different - iPhone wins hands down !!!!!

iPhone will overtake the Blackberry as the corporate phone of choice too. The leaps and bounds they've come on since the beginning with enterprise support.

How can it win then? if you cant compare them because they're completely different then there cant be a winner

You can compare them as they are fairly identical in function now. There are two things that the Blackberry had, push email and physical keyboard. The first isn't relevant now and the latter is only an issue if you can't adapt to a touch screen keyboard.

I mean that the iPhone has so many more features than the Blackberry, so there is no competition. The comparison greatness of the iPhone over the Blackberry is too vast !!

But only in YOUR eyes, depends on your usage. I went for the Blackberry 1) as I was on T-mobile, and 2) I like physical keyboards due to lots of texting and emailing.
The iPhone is good for playing around with, but for solid usage, battery life, and uptime the BB wins. Obviously a lot of BB's don't have 3G thus the battery life is greatly increased. My 8900 has never restarted itself in 10 months, whilst loads of my friends with iphone have had problems, repairs, new phones etc.
