Anyone else had problems with 'The Hut ' .......at the point of screaming now :(

Hi,
on the 18th october i placed an order after seeing a HKUD , order was accepted and i awaited delivery
.5 days later i checked the order status as i know from past orders it should have arrived by that time.
The order status said 'cancelled' yet i had had no email .
I checked the paypal payment and it said pending.
I contacted the hut through their message system enquiring as to the cancellation and 'pending' status on the refund.
They replied the next day to say the order had been cancelled due to no stock and the payment had been refunded.
2 weeks later the paypal payment was still showing as pending, i contacted paypal who said 'the hut' still needed to cancel/refund the payment.
Messaged the hut again advising of paypals advice and recieved another reply saying 'the payment had been now been refunded and will take 7 days'..........what happened to the refund 2 weeks prior?
THIS week , 4 weeks from cancellation the payment is STILL showing as pending, i contacted paypal again who confirmed that 'the hut' STILL need to refund the payment from their end in their paypal account and to forward them paypals reply.
So messaged 'the hut' again advising this is the 4th time in trying to sort this and gave them paypals reply, i recieved a reply back saying it had now been sent to the department that deals with these matters......today is 5 days since recieving that reply and STILL the payment is 'pending'................how hard can it be to click the refund paypal payment AFTER you have clicked 'order cancelled ' in the hut account'......... :(

am wondering if they... 'the hut' ...benefit somehow in leaving a paypal payment to run it's pending expiry rather than click the refund themselves.......seems very odd they should say it has been refunded twice yet it has not :(

0844 243 9090 for their head office and talk to them as opposed to emailing them. Ask to speak to a manager. Hope this helps.

it is a shame as up until now have always had good service but this has made me very reluctant to use them again,seems ok when the order goes smoothly but should it be cancelled or out of stock having to fight for weeks to be refunded is just not right ........

Just noticed I had the same problem by chance. I sent an email. If I don't get the desired result I'll phone that head office number as well. Should be fun...

The Hut are often doing this, they did it to me, I crossed them off of my shopping list a long time ago.

Useless outfit.

The do it all the time I think its there policy to peee customers off and advertise what they dont have in stock

I have had a similar problem, placed an order 2 weeks ago and my £30 payment status was pending, to date it is still pending, emailed the hut 4 times and phoned up 3 times, still waiting for them to release my money so I can get it back. I was told by paypal that they have a lot of problems with the hut and even had one customer wait over a year to get a pending paypal payment back. Their customer service is diabolical.

Anything of (that) value should have been returned using a courier/delivery service that traced the package to the delivery address; such as Royal Mail Signed For, or Special Delivery.

Did you use such a method?

I am the first to refuse to use The Hut Group ("The Hut Gripe") ever again, but they may actually have not received the item.

Unless you can demonstrate delivery actually took place, then you do not know for sure that it has arrived.

I bought four pairs of boxer shorts. They are coming apart at the seams after only wearing once. I don't seem to get any joy from their customer service department. I guess they looked too cheap to be any good and it looks like this is another of those companies who are not around for long because they are selling crap.
