Anyone stayed in a Holiday Cottage recently for a weekend??

Looking for a nice cottage to rent for a weekend, (this weekend) looking for something nice and in a nice quiet area....
Been looking at lodges, cottages but not found anything with the WOW factor yet, a lot seem to look pretty tired inside..

Has anyone stayed anywhere they would recommend ??

I dont mind the location as such, anywhere from south Scotland, down to Bath.... basically anywhere within 250 miles of Leeds.....

I have spent hours looking to no avail......

Has anyone stayed in one of the Hoseason lodges ??

Any ideas or advice ?

Cheers

Rick

Not a cottage for rent but Hill Farm House is stunning and very quiet.
It is between Worcester and Stratford Upon Avon.

We've stayed there about 7-8 time through the years and always have a great time.
It's beautifully decorated and in a great location. There are several pubs within a 2-3 mile radius and James does an amazing breakfast.
You won't regret it.

It looks really nice and the prices are good too, but as we are travelling with our 6 month old son, i think im wanting something a little bit more private.. I dont think the other guests would appreciate his midnight to 6am crying!

Thanks for the link though.

Cheers

They only usually rent out the four rooms in the barn conversion but you can always ask if one of the 'suites' in the main house is available as they might be fully booked as it's such short notice.
It's so quiet there that you only ever see anyone if you happen to be having breakfast at the same time.

His crying might not be a problem if you're in the main house.
Give them a call and explain your circumstances.

Thanks - I may give them a buzz in the morning,

Thanks

The one you have linked is nice.

Will you be out and about though for most of your stay?

It all depends on the weather with the little one.. we jist fancy a break away for a weekend, we are wanting to be able to go out for trips in the day but have the options of somewhere nice to come back to.... BBQ, bottle of wine etc...

This is only 15 mins from where I live - Loch Lomond and the lodges there are out of this world. 5 stars and paradise!

Not strictly a cottage, but Mrs Some_Bloke and me have used http://www.farmstay.co.uk/ for our daughters graduation and a couple of short breaks.

There's nowt like a farmhouse brekkie!
