Anyone successfully win a parking fine appeal?

Has anyone actually win an appeal on parking fine?

I have received a parking fine for parking on a single yellow line for less than 2 minutes with my kids still in the car. There is a sign with no loading at the time I was parking there but I have not block or obstruct anyone. I want to appeal but not sure how to go about winning the appeal. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

What exactly are appealing against?

You parked illegally, you got caught.

If that's going to be your defence, don't bother. You took a chance and got done.

Oh well never mind. I always thought you are allowed to park on a single yellow line for about 5 minutes. Previously I have asked some traffic warden and police office to check if its ok to park there and they all said ok as long its only a few minutes. So no point appealing!

It indicates that parking or waiting at that roadside is prohibited at certain times of day. The exact times vary by area and are indicated by signs at the roadside. Stopping to load and to pick up or set down passengers is generally allowed unless additional restrictions apply

If you were the driver and you left the car then you were parked illegally and you have no chance of appeal. I assume this was daytime on a weekday?

I have argued a parking ticket and won, but then the circumstances are different. We need parking permits to park outside our own home due to living quite close to the football stadium, I dont mind as it means I don't lose my parking space each Saturday.

But my 3 kids all had chicken pox week after week the month my permit expired, I got a ticket for this, Took my spotty 10 month old down county hall for a new permit and had to write a letter about expired one, They let me off the parking ticket.

In your circumstance I think you just have to take this one on the chin :(

You haven't said why your car was parked but to be honest you took a chance and will have to cough up. Any road markings depict that there are restrictions in place so although you may no have blocked or obstructed anyone, that is not a reasonable defence.

Owned by the man. Try a level crossing next time. The results are amazing!
