Mario Galaxy is amazing! Ive nearly completed that and your kids will have hours of fun with it.

MArio Kart is also fun and the others, I cant say as I havent played them yet

if you can get hold of Mario and Sonic at the olympics you kids will love it, mine are still playing 12 months later, they love it

Shouldn't you have asked if they were any good before you bought them?

But yes - the games Mario Kart and Galaxy are probably the most popular, and rightly so. Play is okay but a good way of getting another Wii-mote controller which you will need. It makes the game about £5.

High School Musical is more of a matter of opinion - if you don't like HSM film then you won't like the game.... but my niece and nephew like it.

Boom Blox also seems to be a popular one with them (but they are 8 and 11... not sure how a 5 year old would get on with it)

how much did you pay for all that????

The two Mario games are fab, Wii Play is rubbish but handy for the Wii-mote - I couldn't really advise on HSM game - but I suspect a child would like it.

i would make sure all your kids have their own remote, bit expensive but then there are no arguments about whose turn it is, the Big Brain Acadamy is also good for all ages

Boom Blox is a fabulous game, Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart the most playable games for the Wii.

Not really sure about games for a 5 year old, maybe WarioWare smooth moves, in addition to Wii Play.

Some more suggestions for the teens, Trauma Center, odd in the sense that its a surgeon based simulation, but great cognitive fun working under pressure to complete operations.

Endless Blue...dive and explore oceans looking for aquatic life, take photos, share over Wi-Fi connection others diving expeditions, more of an experience than a game and one I think girls would appreciate.

high school musical and wii boogie my 3 year old and 8 year old drive me nuts 8 year olds can sing slightly 3 year old dances and makes nises that would give you nightmares but overall they hammer these the most. my 8 year old daughter also loves the pippa funnel horse game ,she is ecstatic as she has now earned a baby foal

How about Wii Play from Play at £29.99 (pre-release price)?

Very mixed views from people on this, but it might suit.

mario kart and wheel - great
mario galaxy - not bad but gets very boring quickly. totally overrated imo
high school musical with microfone - rubbish
and wii play - sell it now!

Of the games you listed my kids enjoy Mario Kart and Galaxy most. Mario Kart is also great if you hook up with friends over the internet and race against them my son does this with his buddies all the time. Wii Play is quite fun especially on the big day itself as the whole family can have a go at something.
Hope you have fun

I wouldn''t say that Mario Galaxy is overrated, its designed ground upwards for perfect integration with the WIi remote and nunchuk and unlke Super Mario Sunshine is a defining platforming game like Mario 64 was.

Yes I know that Mario 64 was the first 3D Mario platformer and in itself its groundbreaking, but Mario galaxy breaks the mould by having 360 degree movement, and the inner and outer play in spheres is pure genius. Its genius in design full stop.
