I know someone who used it for a month and ended up losing a stone and a half, even though they ate takeaways almost every night.

Aah, but what were the side effect? :giggle:

I am sure most peeps would lose weight after a month of diarrhea!

I must admit I am tempted by it as it might be good for be to be scared of pizza and chocolate!

I just worry that I might have problems with it even if I was eating okay

Also, I can't find any clear guidelines on what I am looking at eating on the plan - are carbs okay?

Anyone else had any experience with them?

It wasn't that.

He actually put on about a stone in the first 3 weeks eating rubbish, but got caught short out shopping once.

He was running to the nearest McDonalds to use the facilities, sharted and slipped on the spillage right in front of a bus.

They had to amputate his right arm.

(he's actually lost more weight since then, due to depression and not being able to eat quite as quickly).

It is just fats but it is any kind of fat and as most food contains an element of fat I would think twice. Talking from personal experience even if I had just fluids during the day (including water) I had some very embarrasing moments!!! When I coughed or sneezed and on one occasion laughed, I would pooh myself!!! No diet is worth that kind of indignity!!! I would personally stay clear of anything that contains orlistat or zenecal!!!

I tried one tablet and I was having wet farts and stained my pants...no joke!
#18
I have been taking it for 3 weeks and haven't had it so bad!
I think it is only bad if you eat a lot of fat but if you check the fat content then you should be ok.

I haven't had any embarassing mishaps at all but it does make you quite windy and you do think twice about letting it out just incase!!!

Tried stepping on the scales other day and had put on 4 lbs!!! Will be going to docs to get weighed on their scales which are prob more accurate so lets wait and see.................

Prob won't work as quick as I can't do exercise due to being a kripple but hope it does work.

Give a store a ring, then you know if it's worth the journey.

I thought the content in this Alli is just what's in the prescription version but much lower content so it can be bought over counter. So if thats the case wouldn't it be better to get GP to do prescription.

I personally wouldn't buy or take anything for weight loss, the side effects some people mentioned very off putting too.

It was still half price yesterday, about £20.........In Southend (Ex Lax is cheaper).

i've been taking it, and as long as you eat ok it has not had any nasty effects on me, but i do agree with the passing wind bit !!! you do think twice and oftern go to the bathroom just in case !

i have had one incident, thank fully at home with a frijji milk shake, won;t be drinkin one of those again !! not sure how much it is helping with regards to the amount of weight lost, but certinaly helps me think more about what i eat and thats a good step for me

what is Alli? Is it a laxative? Sounds like it from the responses.

Don't take laxatives to help you lose weight hon. It can damage you long term.

Up your exercise levels just a little and say no to choccie and sweets and cakes for a little while. See how it goes x x
