Anyone used a PS3 repair company?

I need to send my PS3 off for repair but theres millions of different repair companies online.
Can anyone recommend a decent company?

Also need to find someone who repairs the blu-ray cheaper than Sony for my friend. Have told him to try a lens cleaner first... if that doesnt work Sony want £130 for a replacement. Unit is only 19 months old and have tried through the teeth on the 6 year sale of goods act... but they wont budge :-(

avoid TCR (Total Console Repair). Mine was sent their by GAME. Lasted for one hour. Fortunately they (GAME) gave me instore credit (they didnt even bother fixing it the second time - just kept it).

not heard a good story about them.

It wasn't purchased from Sony, so why would they budge?

Because lots of peeps on here say that Sony repair if you press them hard enough on the whole 6 year thing coz of the unreliabilty of the drives. Sadly seems to be untrue.

What's wrong with it?


It freezes then switches itself off with the blinking red light (RLOD), so I think its overheating.
It might be the fan that needs replacing.
