I am going to have to drive as one has an exam until 330pm and I have to drop my other children off at babysitters before we leave.

I have seen the pre-pay parking at the 02 for £23.50
but saw a old post online somewhere about using the carpark 4 as its cheaper and is usually easlier to leave from after concerts...

Does anyone know any information? have you been before?

Im coming from Brighton so I think I avoid the congestion charge too?.(hope so)

arghh...my good intentions make my head hurt!!...

I parked at Car Park 1 on Sunday and paid £20 (could not pre-booked because they sold out the prebookings)

There were no issues at all with the car park, plenty of spaces, maybe today and tomorrow might be a bit busier due to the tube strike.

The only difference between the pre-book and the normal ones is that the pre-book is a bit closer to the Arena (something like 100m not really big deal) but to go out the pre-booked had 3 exits moving really fast whilst the non-prebooked had only one.

Hope this info helps

PS: Coming from the south you should be fine and avoid the congestion charge (obviously as long as you don't go through central London)

£20 to park a car......wow what a rip off.

Yeah £20, go in the right lane as soon as you get into the car park.

You can then park straight away and you are right next to the exit.

I've not been to the 02 yet, but live not too far from it. I believe you can park opposite B&Q and use a park & ride service. You won't hit the Congestion Charge zone & if you did you won't be charged at that time of the day.

I'd suggest you go by train but it's impossible to get the last train out of London that night and that is if it get you all way back to Brighton.

Car park 2 is £20, car park 1 is £5, I think (not more than £5 anyway)

Tell me about it. I think they are now sort of increasing the prices everywhere.

I've just found out that for next week (Saturday 20th June) the car park at Royal Ascot is £15 plus £5 special delivery because the date is too close, total £20. Can you believe they don't send you the tickets via 1st class because is too close and we still have over a week an a half.

Normally the car park at Ascot is either free or £5 but because is the Royal Ascot weekend they charge you a Royal Car Park fee. :x :x

I don't see why they wouldn't let you - it's just a car park and people park there to go to eat or to the cinema inside the O2.
We went the first time to see Afrika Afrika and it was from HUKD that I learnt NOT to go to car park 2.

I assume it will get full up quickly though so you may need to bear that in mind.

About 10/15 minutes walk away there is a cinema in a big round buildng (think it's an Odeon), when you come off the A2 you will see it on your right, there is a B&Q there too. There is free parking there but I don't know if there is a time limit

I am also going tonight n been madly trying to find out how to avoid the £20 fee!

this is what i have found out, Car park 1 is the £20 car park, it is car park 2 you want and if they try to send you to 1 simply say you are going for a meal n just make sure u dont have britney blaring out ur speakers lol! Check Ticketmaster webbsite and it says that 1 is the prepaid car park.

Alternatively other option i have found is to park at the NCP for Greenwich Tube which is about £6...

Hope this helps :-)

I am going to see Britney Spears on Saturday. Me and my boyfriend are driving up there and parking at the O2. We pre-booked a parking space which cost just under £20 which is pretty steep but you can park there all day so I guess its not so bad (for London anyway!)

There is a free car park in Wapping as currently no barriers there, you could park there and jump on the DLR as 02 is only a few miles away from there

You can also park for free by Canning Town Station, postcode E16 and jump on the train but I don't know the operating times or if the concert finishes late

I ended up pre-booking as I was taking several kids and couldnt be doing with any moaning about walking distances or lack of spaces anywhere.
Will try another car park when i go up again alone!
thanx everyone
